Chris Seasons is a Senior Advisor and Director at ARC Financial Corp. He provides leadership support for the executive team in the areas of strategy & risk management, as well as investment decision-making. He brings over 30 years of operating experience covering all facets of the Canadian upstream oil and gas industry. Chris is a member of ARC's Investment and Strategy committees.
Previously, he served as President of Devon Canada Corp. for over 10 years. He successfully grew Devon Canada's heavy oil operation from 15,000 barrels per day to 90,000 barrels per day. Prior experience includes a large multi-national, both domestically and internationally, and a junior Calgary based exploration & acquisition company. He currently also sits on the Board of Directors for Toro Oil and Gas Ltd., Serafina Energy Ltd., Longshore Resources Ltd., Steelhead Petroleum Ltd., and the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation and was previously the Chairman of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers. He is a former director of the United Way of Calgary & Area and former Co-Chair of the Calgary United Way campaign. Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
Kent is focused on the origination, structuring and execution of new investment opportunities in the exploration and production industry. His responsibilities also include working closely with ARC's portfolio companies on corporate strategy, risk management, strategy execution and financial matters. Kent currently represents ARC as a board observer of Aspenleaf Energy Limited and KANATA Energy Group Ltd.
Kent joined ARC in 2011, with 5 years as an engineer at a major multi-national oil and gas company with assignments in drilling and new business development. His education includes an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, an M.Sc. in Engineering from the Robert Gordon University, a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Calgary and a designated P.Eng. in Alberta. Kent is also a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
Derek Christie is a Professional Geologist with over 25 years of experience across North America in both Conventional and Unconventional reservoir exploration and development. Derek is the Vice President, Exploration & Geosciences of Crescent Point Energy, a role he has held since 2013. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Geosciences for Crescent Point. He has been with Crescent Point since 2007 and has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1991, having held a variety of technical and management positions with companies including Shelter Bay Energy, Mission Oil and Gas, StarPoint Energy, Vintage Petroleum Canada and Rio Alto Exploration.
Derek is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Boulder Energy Ltd., Highrock Resources Ltd. and the Canadian Society for Unconventional Resources. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Calgary and is a member of both the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.
Martin is Boulder's founding CEO. Previously he co-founded DeeThree Exploration Ltd. and led the company through its growth from negligible production into the intermediate producer class. Martin brings more than 30 years of energy industry experience to Boulder, having founded and led several companies prior to DeeThree, including Dual Exploration Inc. and Devlan Exploration Inc., both of which were acquired by Cyries Exploration Inc. Martin has also served on numerous energy companies' Boards of Directors.
